Understanding the Jewellery Bracelet

The jewellery bracelet is an ornament that holds great appeal both for the women and the men. This is the reason why there are many designers who are catering to bracelets for both genders. These ornaments can be found in various materials and right from gold bracelets to those made from other cheaper metals, one can find it all.
Jewellery for sale stores state that the attraction of bracelets has picked up in the past few years and bangles seem to have a huge competitor in them. The fact that almost any reputable jewellery store houses a large collection of these ornaments is proof enough that the bracelet has arrived and is defiantly here to stay.

• Clamp on bracelets – These bracelets are simply clamped on to the wrist and do not need to be slipped on like a bangle or do not have a little lock at one end. The bracelet curves nicely but the two ends never meet each other. These bracelets work well in cases where one does not want to restrict the size of the ornament. In fact jewellery for sale stores report that such bracelets are very popular as presents since the need for size is completely irrelevant here. You do not need to worry that you have chosen a jewellery bracelet that may be too small or too large.
• Charm bracelets- These are very popular especially in the younger generation. This charm jewellery is usually a thin chain that has a number of charms dangling from it. The chain goes round the wrist and the charms dangle free from it thus creating a petite and attractive look. While some people will wear these bracelets to ward of the evil vibes, most others wear them purely for cosmetic reasons. Charm bracelets are usually made in silver or gold, without the use of stones. However, one can find a few gem studded ones too, in case there is a preference for these.
• Lock system bracelet – These bracelets are not very size specific, but do require a rough idea of the wrist size. These bracelets come with a lock or clamp that will fasten the grip of the ornament. The shape of the bracelet can be oval or round or even limp, the lock will simply join the two ends of the bracelet together. It is important that the lock of the bracelets is checked thoroughly, since in case of a weak locking mechanism the ornament could fall off and break or worse still you could loose it completely.
A jewellery bracelet is no doubt a very important part of any mentionable jewellery collection. However, it is also important that this jewellery be understood well so as to ensure a more researched purchase both in terms of an investment and also a cosmetic enhancer.
